Drawing a blank here. How do you get a screenshot in Windows? I'm pressing
    Alt+PrtScn but getting nothing.

Now open up a blank image in an image editing app and do a Ctrl^V (Paste).

    Joe,

That's what I'm doing in FW and getting nada. I'll try restarting my system
    and see what happens.

    Thanks,
    John

    No... two seperate functions:

prtscreen = Captures the entire screen.
alt+prtscreen = Captures the active window.

Not silly at all.... it just depends on what how much you want to capture.

    Cheers,
    Sam

I have never regretted buying SnagIt. Great little programme IMO.

Was happy to buy SnagIt after they added the shape captures. A wee bit
annoyed that they want to charge $14.95 to upgrade from Version 6.2.2 to 6.3
    though. They added:
    MS Excel integration (woo-hoo),
Drop Shadow, Torn, Wave, and Faded Edge Effects
(which I would do in Fireworks)
16 New File Formats (on the fence about this one).

Would have found the addition of Horizontal Auto-Scroll infinitely more
useful. Though, like you, I have no regrets about buying the product when I
    did.

    Cheers,
    Sam

Is there a way to capture a whole webpage that is longer than the screen ?

Multiple screenshots and then assemble them back together in Fireworks is my
    current approach,
maybe there is a more elegant way ?

    There's actually a third-party application that will do that. I can't think
of the name of it right now so hopefully someone will post it. I'm not sure
if Snag It will do it or not.

Yes SnagIt will scroll down to the bottom of the page if you set it to do
    that.

Thanks for that upgrade info Sam. I'm still using v.6.1 and I think I'll
stick with it for the time being. Tempting though the Excel integration
    sounds... ;)
