    Default overprint?

    hi,

    can anyone help me?
How do you show what ojects in an image are in overprint?
Is it a preference somewhere? I can't find it.

    Default Re: overprint?

Yes, it is in Preferences:Redraw. There is a chckbox that says "display
    overprint objects."

You can find more information about this by searching the technotes. For

    Default Rotate Tool anomaly

I am a long time Mac FH9 user who has just started using FHMX. Can
someone try this and tell me if you get the same results?

Go to Freehand:Preferences:General. Uncheck box "double-click enables
transform handles" Now create a box or any other object. Select the
rotate tool and try to rotate the object. Does it work?

The only way I can use the rotate tool in MX is to enable transform
handles and I don't like that feature because I unintentionally get
    objects with the transform handles.

    Regards

The rotate tool works fine here.

Are you sure you have the actual rotate tool selected? In Windows > Toolbars
    > Customize > Modify, there is a black & white rotate icon button that only
    opens the Transform/Rotate panel.

I was confused by this too, because I'd much prefer to use the sharp
contrast of the B&W icons to the blurry blue-gray blob that is sadly the
only choice for a rotate tool icon.

Is there any way to modify icons under Mac OS X? Under OS 9, I would have
simply opened the application resources with ResEdit and pasted in the icon
    I prefer.

Ok, how do I get the real rotate tool? I go to the menu bar and select
Modify:Transform:Rotate but that does not do anything.

I used the method you described to put the rotate tool in my toolbar.
How do I get the real rotate tool that will rotate an object?

The rotate tool button is under Windows>Toolbars>Customize>Tools/Commands.

That would help. The Rotate Panel button Tool Tip shows "Rotate ..." Those
three little dots are the clue that a dialog follows.

Ha, ha! I'm my own boss. The only way to 'get a raise' would be to work
harder and spend less time answering questions on the FH forum. ;-)
