"Page being edited on another computer" error
Hi,
I've set up a Contribute account for a client of mine. I am the administrator.
She is the publisher.
Sent her the connection key - and all was hunky dorey.
Until she decided to change computers and transerred Contribute to a new PC.
Now - whenever she connects to her site - she can edit any page except the
home page - which constantly gives her a 'can't edit this page because it is
being edited on another computer.'
I have removed the account and set it up again - and she has done the same.
But still gets the same message.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
- Greg Taylor
P.S. Her site is: www.planete-blanche.com

Re: "Page being edited on another computer" error
Hi,
Browse to the physical location of the site on the server where it is running
and find out if there are any <filename.htm>.lck files for the files that she
cannot edit. if so delete them and then ask your client to browse to that page
and try editing.

Re: "Page being edited on another computer" error
Hi,
I have the same problem and I have checked my server to locate those .lck
files but they are not there.
How do I go about in finding these files on my server. Are they invisible?
I hope you can help me out because it I need to use Contribute to update the
website.
Thanks.
