Default Page Borders cut off after pdf conversion

Every time I convert a Powerpoint doent to pdf (in this case, photo collages), the pdf version cuts off about 1/2 inch of all four page borders, cropping the edges of the images.

Is there a way to have the pdf version look identical to the Powerpoint version (uncropped)?

Is there a margin limit in Acrobat Distiller?

This also happens in Word and similar programs, so I don't think it has anything to do with Powerpoint.

    Thanks for any help!

What version of Acrobat and PowerPoint are you using? What method of conversion are you using - PDFMaker or printing to PDF?

If you are printing to PDF then it could be that the page size in Office is different from your Acrobat distiller printer (or, in Acrobat 6 the Adobe PDf printer).

You can run a batch process to crop - or uncrop the pages which can take care of the ones that have already been converted, but more information on exactly what you are doing will hopefully bring about a more permanent solution.

Thanks for your quick reply. Here is some info:

Powerpoint version 2002 (from MS Office XP Pro)
    Acrobat Distiller 5.0
    OS: Windows XP Pro Corp

I use File, Print (in Powerpoint), then choose the Acrobat Distiller as the printer.

The page setup in Powerpoint says the paper size is 8.5 x 11 Portrait.

If I click "Properties" in the printer dialog box, 3 tabs come up for Acrobat Distiller: LAYOUT, PAPER/QUALITY/, and ADOBE PDF SETTINGS.

The only choices on the layout tab are Portrait, Landscape, and Rotated Landscape.

If this info allows you to further enhance your advice, I'll really appreciate your additional help.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Make sure you're using Acrobat/Distiller 5.05, not just 5.0.
