Page limits and cautions ?
I am about to create a 200 page manual and are concerned if I should work in Indesign or move to Frame maker, the document has a special format and require illustrations and photos and screen dumps (layout work and text...).
It is pretty straight forward but alot of info that must be safe, i was thinking of using the book function in IDD
If anyone has good as well as bad experience then i would love to know

Re: Page limits and cautions ?
We've done several books about that long using ID-CS, with lots of illustrations and photos, and it went flawlessly. These books, however, did not have an index tho I wonder if that would've made any difference.

Re: Page limits and cautions ?
Thanks, I have no plan of using index, however TOC is a must... I was thinking of creating sections/chapters and then "assemble" those.
Again thanks

Re: Page limits and cautions ?
I have had no problems with creating 400+ page books with multiple images per page with TOC entries. I did not use the book function but created it as one complete document. It might be advisable to use the book function if you were going to use a section in several final products.
Good Luck!
