page not fully rendering - PHP Development

Why would a page display, but, incompletely ? This seems to be a random occurence on one of my servers that very often, pages render but not 100%. Perhaps I have something in php.ini that is not set correctly? Has anyone ever seen this type of thing? Thanks, Ike...

    If it's fine, then there's a problem with your browser. If it's wrong,
    then there's a problem with the delivery, which may be caused by PHP.

    It's incomplete, it doesn't even give me the closing </body> or </html>
    tags. The same page, on other servers, works without this problem. I'm
    wondering if this is, in fact, a php problem ? -Ike

    Is it a specific page that doesn't render completely? Or is it all PHP
    pages? Or is it *all* pages, i.e. do you get the problem with static
    ..htm files?

    P.S. please don't top-post in these newsgroups.

    Have you tried putting a few test HTML files on the server as well, to
    see if the problem occurs with these as well? If the problem still
    occurs, then it's not a PHP issue.

    The only way to identify a problem is to eliminate as many factors as
    possible.

    Yes, plain html pages render fine. For some reason, php pages output, it
    seems, before php has finished rendering them! -Ike

    Do you have a (short) example of a PHP script that has this problem?

    Yes Oli, I am using phpScheduleIt and it is happening - bot only on one
    server. On other servers, when I run it, It runs fine. Here is a short
    example taken therefrom -Ike

    <?php
    /**
    * Scheduler Application
    * This file contians the scheduler application where
    * users have an interface for reserving resources,
    * viewing other reservations and modifying their own.
    * author Nick Korbel <sourceforge.net>
    * version 06-24-04
    * package phpScheduleIt
    *
    * Copyright (C) 2003 - 2005 phpScheduleIt
    * License: GPL, see LICENSE
    */
    list($s_sec, $s_msec) = explode(' ', microtime()); // Start execution timer
    /**
    * Include Template class
    */
    include_once('lib/Template.class.php');
    /**
    * Include scheduler-specific output functions
    */
    include_once('lib/Schedule.class.php');

    // Check that the user is logged in
    if (!Auth::is_logged_in()) {
    Auth::print_login_msg();
    }

    $t = new Template(translate('Online Scheduler'));
    $s = new Schedule(isset($_GET['scheduleid']) ? $_GET['scheduleid'] : null);

    // Print HTML headers
    $t->printHTMLHeader();

    // Print welcome box
    $t->printWelcome();

    // Begin main table
    $t->startMain();

    if ($s->isValid) {
    $s->print_schedule();

    // Print out links to jump to new date
    $s->print_jump_links();
    }
    else {
    $s->print_error();
    }

    // End main table
    $t->endMain();

    list($e_sec, $e_msec) = explode(' ', microtime()); // End execution timer
    $tot = ((float)$e_sec + (float)$e_msec) - ((float)$s_sec + (float)$s_msec);
    echo '<!--Schedule printout time: ' . sprintf('%.16f', $tot) . '
    seconds-->';
    // Print HTML footer
    $t->printHTMLFooter();
    ?>

    Hmm, I was hoping there'd be something obvious to spot like output
    buffering!

    Ok, all I can suggest is to enable PHP error displaying (display_errors
    directive in php.ini). This will show any problems that occur that cause
    the script to terminate prematurely.

    Thanks Oli. Btw, is there a directive for controlling output buffering in
    php.ini? Because this server acts as though thats the problem! Ike

    I think that's it. There is a master override to output buffering in
    php.ini. I just set it to on and my problem has gone away! -Ike
