Page Numbering
I am using acrobat 5.05 with office xp sp2. When using the pdfmaker macro to convert a word doucment to pdf the page numbering changes from page 1 of 10 on the word document to page 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 3 of 3, etc. on the pdf document. When i go file, print and select the distiller or pdfwriter it works fine. After i do that, without closing the word document, if i go back into the document and use the pdfmaker macro it will work.

page numbering
How can I get page numbering to appear at the top of each printed page? Headers only seem to work with tables, which I'm not working with. I'm working with plain text and want a page number with the project name on it. I can't seem to find any way to do this one simple thing.
Help,
Ken.

Re: page numbering
Thanks guys. I ended up getting the Visual Quick Start Guide to InDesign CS and found the answer. I have to change my thinking from Word to InDesign and learn to use master pages. Now that I know how to do it, it's actually very easy. Thanks for your help.

Page numbering
I have a pdf document that is numbered in sections (which matches the original printed info). This is a great feature of Acrobat, but having got all the page numbers exactly as I want, I find you CANNOT then add them to the pages. In the footers section you can only add the 'absolute' numbers. Not that it says this, but there is no option to do otherwise. Or am I missing something here?
Since an option to create special page numbering is provided, it beggers belief that it is not possible to include these on the page for viewing and printing. What on earth is Adobe doing?

Re: Page numbering
Ditto. Same problem, methinks this could be a bug. Anybody go any suggestions. Can't get complimentary support, my software is a corporate copy. Anybody out there have a individual copy that can call adobe for complimentary support?
