Page Numbering in InDesign CS
I have a document that needs to start its auto page numbering at page 3 rather than page 1 (cover has to be a seperate file). Theres probably an easy solution but I have serached the help files with no luck. Is there an easy way to do this without having to insert a couple of dummy pages into my document?

In the pages palette flyout menu, you'll find a selection for numbering
and section options. Just tell it start on page 3.

Re: Page Numbering in InDesign CS
Sorry, I havent made myself clear enough. I want my page numbering on this specific file to START with the number 3, not number 1. This will eventually be the third page of my document once it is compiled. The only way I can overcome it at the moment is to insert 2 dummy pages before page 3. I just assumed there would be a simpler answer.

Re: Page Numbering in InDesign CS
As Bob said, just tell it to start numbering with 3. As Bob didn't say, make
that page the start of a new section. Then, when you eventually add pages 1
and 2 you can either make them a separate section starting on 1, or you can
make the whole shooting match one section starting from 1.

Nobody reads the first post. And Bob is usually the first poster. And Bob knows of which he speaks. Ergo, "As Bob said" is probably the most commonly used phrase on this forum.
