Pagemaker 6.0 and Acrobat 5.0 - Hyperlinks do not work

Thank-you in advance to everyone for reading this and trying to help! I have created a booked publication with indexes and TOC in Pagemaker 7.0. When I "export to pdf", and only include about three of the chapters in the book, the bookmarks, indexes and TOCs all work great, but when I include all the books, the bookmarks are fine but the hyperlinks in the TOC and the index don't generate. Can anyone help?

Does "Export to PDF" from Pagemaker involve Acrobat?

I assume that it uses the distiller but I'm not sure...it is the menu option in Pagemaker 7.0 under File-Export-Adobe PDF. I purchased and installed the Acrobat Writer and Pagemaker at the same time so the Distiller, PDFMaker and Export functions for pagemaker, Word, etc. all were installed at the same time.

I'm not sure if i answered your question. Is that what you meant?

File > Export > Adobe PDF uses Acrobat Distiller. However, Distiller doesn't arbitrarily decide to not create links--PageMaker must not be sending them to the PostScript stream. You might want to ask in the PageMaker forum.
