Pages checked out by Contribute
I have over 50 Contribute users who are experiencing frequent messages from
Contribute stating, "Macromedia Contribute is currently editing this page." So,
they request that I check the page back in. On my end in Dreamweaver, the page
is checked out with a "red checkmark." To resolve the problem, I override
"Macromedia Contribute's" checkout and republish the page.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can prevent it from happening
in the future? Thank you.

You're the site administrator I assume? You might want to log in to
administer the site and check to see whether there is a user who has called
themselves 'Macromedia Contribute' and, if there is, change their password.
This will allow you to find out who is being a smart arse and then correct
the situation.
If there is no user called 'Macromedia Contribute' then you have an
error/issue which I have no idea how to fix -sorry.
