Pagination, Threading, Delinking all pages:I'm sure I've asked this before but..... - Adobe Indesign Windows

Hi, I've got a 20 page layout, not a spread. In other words, no facing pages. Once upon a time I moved page 15 to follow page 10 making page 15 become page 11. The problem I am facing now is that text that once flowed from page 15 to page sixteen now flows from page 11 to page 16. Not pretty. So I have two questions: 1. Is there a way to move a page without this happening? In other words, can I move page 15 to page 11 and have InDesign 'figure out' where the text should be ...

    Hi,

I've got a 20 page layout, not a spread. In other words, no facing pages. Once upon a time I moved page 15 to follow page 10 making page 15 become page 11. The problem I am facing now is that text that once flowed from page 15 to page sixteen now flows from page 11 to page 16. Not pretty. So I have two questions:

    1. Is there a way to move a page without this happening? In other words, can I move page 15 to page 11 and have InDesign 'figure out' where the text should be flowing.

    2. Can I delink all pages so that each page becomes independent of any other pages and what you see is what you get. For example, if text on page 11 is flowing to page 16, can I break that link so that you still see the same text on page 11 and the same text on page 16. What I don't want is for the text on page 16 to disappear and end up overflowing the box on page 11.

Hope that made sense. Thanks in advance.

    1. Shoulda cutnpasted the text to keep it flowing correctly.

    2. Kinda. Select the text frame on, say, page 16. Copy and paste the frame. Now it is independent of the flow. Remove the other text frame.

    Thanks Mike.

    1. Yes I knew I could do that, I was hoping InDesign had a built in smart feature that does it.

    2. Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Anyone else who may have other tips and workarounds please weigh in as well.

    Thanks.
