Palattes Closing ? ! ?
In InDesign CS2 and Illustrator (12) after quitting and relaunching the programs, the palettes are all closed. It happens some of the time, not consistently and sometimes only the links palette or the character palette is closed.
Is there a bug fix for this. Is it a preference problem?
Please help. It is driving us crazy.

Did you try to save a named workspace? Are you patched to current?

It is driving us crazy.
Based on this, I assume you have the same issue on more than one machine, or at least more than one user account? It's also interesting that this is affecting both InDesign and Illustrator.
Are you logging in as a user with administrative privileges? If not, it might be interesting to see if the problem exists for an admin user

Has anyone got an answer to this as it is happening to us now too. We closed InDesign and now the Character Palette wont open.
Any help would save us on our print job tomorrow.
