    Default palette scrollbars

I'm having intermittent difficulty with the scroll bars on swatch palletes ie Pantone Process Uncoated. Sometimes they appear with the standard scroll arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar while at other times they appear as large horizontal scroll arrows which. for me, are far more inconvenient to use.

Is there any way of lock the scroll bar buttons to one style?

    Penrod,

You may try this (if you have not done it already): In the Pantone Process Uncoated icon, choose Options (upper right arrow) and tick persistent.

Thanks for the tip but, yeah, I already do this and it doesn't affect the scroll bars. Any other suggestions?

    Penrod,

Are you using AICS? I am with AI10 so there may be a difference. The views I can see are Small Thumbnails, Large Thumbnails, and List.

It may help to clean up the AIPrefs file, when Illy is closed.

If you do not care too much about your settings you may just delete it (see FAQ).

If you like your settings you can open the file with Notepad or another editing (not word processing) programme, search for 'Process\ Uncoated', and change the figure after 'CurrentListStyle' to 12 (Small Thumbnails).

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay in posting this message. Even I am facing the same issue what Penrod had posted. But this is not a permanent issue, it is fine most of the time and only occasionally it changes into the two long vertical "buttons" in place of the scroll bars.

Any one got a answer to this? I am using AI 10.03 on Win XP 512 MB Ram.

    Suresh Kannan.
