Default panther on non usb powerbooks wallstreet

I'm running with great results 10.2.6 on my wallstreet 300, 512 ram. It is
    fast.
I have a macally usb pc card, with a usb hub, and a total of 9 usb ports.

I have heard that panther will not install on non usb built-in g3's, is this
true, anyone outhere try the panther beta on a wallstreet? If it will
install, I will buy a bigger hard drive, if not, will change computers
    within a few months....

    thanks.

The people who would know would have signed NDA's. Given the visually
stunning features of Panther, your WallStreet would probably be slowish
for Panther (while OS X keeps getting faster, video demand keeps going
up...of course, maybe some of that eye-candy can be turned off.).

I would guess that a hack will come out that will allow you to install
on your Wallstreet, but you would likely be better off getting new
hardware, IMO. I've got a Pismo (G3 400MHz) and will probably get
Panther, but I only have to pay academic prices. I'd be less inclined to
pay full price on this machine, never mind a slower one.

Given the rumors (unsupported on your machine), if it were me, I would
plan on saving for newer hardware. If, after it comes out, people get it
to install and the reviews seem to show acceptible performance, you
might decide to change the plan.

True. It will not install on a Wallsteet. :-(

Frustrating to hear that it will install on slower first edition
iMacs/iBooks, especially as reports confirm that Finder and the GUI in
general is much faster than Jaguar. Here's hoping for a hack.
