Default Pantone colours used in AI10 when imported into QXP4.1 separates into CMYK

I am using QXP4.1 (Mac OS9.2). Used Pantone colours (Spot colour type and colour mode CMYK ) in the Adobe Illustrator 10 graphic and save it as EPS. I've imported the EPS graphic into QXP4.1 and generate ps and pdf (composite). When I view the pdf in Acrobat 6, i get the pantone colours separated into CMYK (doesn't separate as an individual plate).

Can any one help how to rectify this?

Just for some hope... Others will chime in

I have Acrobat 4 with a Pitstop plugin and there is a setting to keep spot colors.

    Keep digging into settings.

    Hello Ganess!

It's the problem with your distill settings, where you convert your ps/eps to PDF. Allow the distill options to preserve the colours as-such, and you can find yor PANTONEs landing perfectly in your Acrobat color seperation preview.

Try it out; and get-back :-).
