Re: Paragraph Styles
No easy way, but here are a couple of suggestions:
If the style doesn't exist in the target then the quickest way is to simply copy a word from the one document to the other that uses the style.
If it does exist and you want to update it's definition, then the quickest way might well be this:
1. Change the name of the style in the target document.
2. Copy a word from the source to the target that uses the style.
3. Find/Replace all uses of the renamed style with the original name (which has now reappeared).
4. Delete the changed-name version of the style.
One thing to watch out for when doing this kind of thing is that the based-On and next-Style information might not flow across properly.

Re: Paragraph Styles
Another thought, too late to be useful...
Save the originating doc as junk.indd. Delete all the styles but the one you
want. Save the junk file again. In the target, grab the styles from
junk.indd; should be just one.
Dave's is more elegant though.

Re: Paragraph Styles
Yeah, I was expecting to see a copy option when you right click the style in the palette but a simple copy of the text in the style I wanted pasted on to the target document did the trick.
I hate it when things are staring at me right there in front of my face and I can't see where they are. LOL
