    Default Paragraph Styles palette un-sorts

Okay, this is new. Indesign 3.0.1 on WinXP Professional. I'm working in a
document that is a 12-page tabloid newspaper. I rely quite heavily on
paragraph styles. The names in the palette have gotten jumbled, though, so
    the palette reads:
    Body text
    Head 30
    Bishop
    Photo head
    credit ...
    and so on.

I tried closing and re-opening the document and Indesign. Next I'll try
trashing prefs. Has anyone else seen this? This is the second time it's
happened with this document, not at all with any others.

This happens, as far as I know, only when you first convert an ID 2 document to ID CS. Edit any of those styles and the styles will sort as you'd expect. You can just undo the edit afterwards I think. The styles will stay sorted.

Thanks, Dave. As a matter of fact, I finally had the sense to export to
    Exchange format and open that.
