    You just can't test the code without a web server.

    ASP is text. It doesn't require a web server to develop, only to run.
    You can develop on any system and upload to a web server that supports
    ASP to run it.

    The other part of the deal is that most Windows operating systems
    support IIS and ASP if you install it, so you can test on the same
    system.

    That is unless you are running either Windows ME or Windows XP home as
    both do not have a web server for them & none will be supported with
    those two operating systems.

    And if you upgrade from Home to Pro it want help you. You have to install
    Win XP Pro from scratch.

    In this case, if you have a open line with the internet, you can you CuteFtp
    who have a build in text editor. So you can develop and test the ASP on the
    internet server.
