Default Parsing CF Code Inside A Variable

As far as I know this 'should' be possible. Here's the situation:

I have a website where lengthy HTML formatted descriptions are stored in a
database. When a user accesses an item, the description is pulled up and
displayed on the screen. What I want to do is embed coldfusion code in the
description (specifically a <cfinclude> statement with special navigation
links) however if I do that the <cfinclude> tag gets treated like plain text
and Coldfusion never parses the <cfinclude> tagand adds the navigation links.

Is there anyway to make Coldfusion treat the description as if it were code on
the page that needed to be parsed?

Default Re: Parsing CF Code Inside A Variable

You cannot do that. I know it is annoying, but if you think about how much
havok I could cause by adding cfcode in a form post on your site then, you it
makes sense. You are better off holding all your page data in a .cfm file and
then recording that location in your database and then just cfinclude it!
