    Default Re: Parsing EPS

I had that problem in system 9.2.2 and AI10. The update to AI10.03 fixed it.

I believe parsing an .eps file is when a program is trying to open a file that wasn't done in that program.

    Default Re: Parsing EPS

Dee is right. It's parsing it because it doesn't recognize it as an Adobe Illustrator eps, and thinks it needs to convert it. Hopefully the update will fix your problem. Are the files showing up on your desktop with correct Adobe Illustrator icons? Sometimes you might just need to rebuild the desktop.

I have the images saved as Photoshop EPS and then i place the image in illustrator. I increased my memory for the program. I already have the latest update for Illustrator but it still does this.

    Default Re: Parsing EPS

Large eps files will parse. No getting around it. Large tiffs seem to place without parsing, though I'm not sure it really takes any less time.
