passing a blob as a parameter - PHP Development

Is there a way to pass a blob field from a database to another php script file as a parameter? The blob contains a jpeg image....

    Is there a way to pass a blob field from a database to another php
    script file as a parameter? The blob contains a jpeg image.

    hum... I know this isn't a answer but why whould you do that. Sure
    enough even if you manage it won't be "clean".
    Why don't you just pass the id of the blob to the second page and get
    it from the DB again?
    OR
    Write it to disk with a temp name pass the temp name, do your sutff,
    delete if necessary the temp file.

    base64_encode() it before passing, and base64_decode() it inside the
    function to get it back.

    Just about the same thing, but easier to manage:

    put it in a session variable!

    just to minimize the number of times that I have to query the
    database. I could be passing 20 or so small images to the browser.

    IMHO :
    You'll loose more to try to pass this from one page to another than do
    some more queries.
    Just a query to get all your filenames and go.
