    You may set a script based authentication method using a server side
    programming languages (php for instance) or if your hosted files will be stored
    on an Apache webserver you may want to use some password protection.

    i used htaccess files and they're so much easier to use.. google it and you'll learn how to use it.. it'll make your site secured as well like https instead of http
