patch needed to install Oracle 8.1.7 onto Solaris 8

We recently acquired a 280R sun sparc box running Solaris 8. Now we wanna
install Oracle 8.1.7 on it.

According to the Oracle 8i/installation guide, patches for JRE 1.1.8_10 have
to be installed on Solaris operating system. But the tables only list those
for 6 and 7 but not for 8 at all.

For those who have installed oracle 8.1.7 on Solaris 8, what patches do you
have to apply? Thanks in advance.

I installed Oracle-8.1.7 on Solaris 8 x86 and do not recall any special
patch requirement. You might find this useful:

Because 8.1.7 comes with its own JRE as part of the installation.

I remember it is documented ... not in the installation guide .... but
in the Release Notes.
