I have installed solaris 8 recently, what is the easiest way to find out which patches needs to be installed on this machine, especially security patches. Thanks-Rob...

    out which ones you need.

    .... and disable any services that you do not need from inetd.conf and
    /etc/rc?.d scripts

    e.g. disable the SMTP part of sendmail since it has a hole for which
    there are no patches yet (ditto for sshd but only for Solaris 9).

    Also, turn off sadmind from inetd.conf or check the "Sun Alerts" at
    Sunsolve on how to secure it.
