Default PBUnmountVol not working on Mac OS X ?

I recently posted a message for help about unmounting network volumes.
My problem is that on OS 10.2.6, "PBUnmountVol" function returns me no
error but the network volume still appears on the desktop.

I tried on Mac OS 9 and it works perfectly! ... what is the
    difference?

Has anybody used succesfully this function on OS X ? ... I'm sure I
    don't have opened files ...

    Regards ...

I don't know about PBUnmountVol, but the BSD call unmount needs superuser
permissions to run. This could be your problem.

    Fred,

Thanks for your help but I'm trying as a superuser, actually the
"umount" command works fine ... Is anybody using the PBUnmountVol
    function under OS X?

    Thanks.
