PC and MAC compatibility problem?
I have Freehand 10 and a PC (XP OS) and am trying to send files back and forth
to someone running Mac 10 OS and Freehand 11. When I send her a file (.fh10)
it first tried to open it in Fireworks but if you open it from Freehand there
is not a problem. When she tries to send me a file, first there is not a file
extension on the file and when I add .fh10 or .fh11 I get a "file is not a
valid FreeHand document"
What can we do to easily pass files back and forth? Thanks for your help

Re: PC and MAC compatibility problem?
Tell your freind to save the file as a Freehand 10 document since
you will not be able to open a version 11 file. Also, put the
filename extension on all documents. If use have a problem
opening the e-mailed files, zip them before sending.

Re: PC and MAC compatibility problem?
Thanks for your reply
I tried to look for that but since I am not familar with MACs, I couldn't find
how to do this. When I choose SAVE AS on her MAC there is a FORMAT box at the
bottom of the dialog box that opens, but the only options to choose that I see
are FreeHand Document, FreeHand Template or Editable EPS. Where do I choose
FreeHand 10? Also, How do I add the file extension when saving on the MAC?
Thanks

Re: PC and MAC compatibility problem?
Ron,
File Menu>Export is where you save as FH10. When you export, type the
extention (.fh10)at the end of the filename in the save dialog box.
