PC crashes after using CLONE applet
I formatted the HDD and installed WINXP PRO. Then installed Photoshop 7. After this, I open PS and try to clone a picture. It freezes completely my pc. Nothing absolutly nothing. Then I have to restart by pressing the reset button. It is doing this all the time. I tried re-formatting and re-installing again from scratch but in vain because the problem re-occurs. Please urgent help....

Just to clarify: do you mean the Clone tool from the toolbox?
Have you tried resetting PS preferences [see FAQ]?
