    Default PDF File Size?


    <FONT FACE="Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:12.0px'>Ok, I’ve created PDFs using Illustrator CS2 and bringing them into Acrobat 7.0.8 Pro. With much help from you all in this forum – a tremendous thank you!<BR>
    <BR>
    Now, I need to know if I can reduce the file size and still maintain the integrity of the photos within the PDF? They have to remain Press Quality resolution and Editable.<BR>

    In your position, I would firstly perform a regular SAVE-AS to see any
    majhor differences in file size (since it remove the history overhead in
    the PDF). If not within your size-frame, then personally I would then
    pay special attention to the image resolution area - such as downsample
    to 300 / 300. Distiller by default will downsample with PDF/X, PDF/A,
    Press and High Quality to between 300 and 450 dpi. The 150 dpi
    difference between the two values can add-up to a lot of data ...
