PDF files being converted to .dat files
When I attach a a pdf file to an outgoing e-mail message, many times the recipient receives a .dat file. These files can be sourced from any current MS application or othe business application, then converted via Adobe Distiller, then attached to an e-mail. But when they arrive at the recipients they are converted to .dat.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: PDF files being converted to .dat files
If you are sending rich text format, it is that which arrives as a DAT
file in non-Microsoft mailers. Be sure to use only plain text format,
and MIME, and you will be compatible with most mailers - but not all,
you cannot get them all to co-operarate.

Aandi:
Thanks. I think you are right about the plain text and MIME settings. I was using rich text format. I'll give your idea a try for a while to verify the fix.
