You should add a clipping path to the Jad-A-Dillo in InDesign.




Not true from what I can see in the PDF. Alpha transparency of Photoshop files placed in InDesign works just fine; that's one of the cool features of InDesign.

I cannot duplicate the problem you describe on page 1, though, James. It seems to print correctly on my printer. What kind of printer are you using?

There are a couple of things I'd point out, though.

First, there are four spot colors in your PDF. I'm assuming that this is not really an eight-color job. Spot colors interacting with transparency require particular attention, and should be avoided unless you are really producing spot color output. I would advise converting those spot colors to process in InDesign before exporting the PDF.

Secondly, you have exported a PDF 1.4 which is fine, but it means that the transparency is "live" in the PDF. Acrobat must flatten it at print time. What Transparency Flattener settings did you use in Acrobat?
