PDF is being renamed
When I link to a new PDF on my desktop Contribute is adding _000, then the next time _001 after the name of the PDF, is there way to make it just over-right the older PDF?

You can only overwrite files if you have rights to delete files. If you are the
admin you can administer your site and adjust the proper setting, when you are
not the admin, you will have to contact him/her and ask him/her to fix this for
you.
