The same PDF file is printed from various Macs and some print the file great and others cause the images to look low res. Every Mac has the same print driver. Why is this happening?

Same OS, same Acrobat.
However, when I sent it from the same Mac as a different user it came out fine. Why?

Is there any way you can post the PDF so we can check it out? Otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.

Adobe doesn't, no. But you may be able to find an option here: <http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bbd96ba/1>

Re: PDF quality changes when output
I am guessing that there is a different setting in the advanced part of the print dialogue box. We had a problem today and the advanced colour management was set to printer/postscript and we needed no colour adjustment. Once changed all was well.

Re: PDF quality changes when output
That was it. It was set to print at 150 dpi instead of 300. Of course it's the only place I didn't check before. Thanks!

Tom,
Glad to hear all is well. BTW, Adobe does have a site you can use to
post pdfs---acrobat.com!

Re: PDF quality changes when output
Is there a way to save the PDF so anyone printing this file will always output it from their computer at 300 dpi regardless of their settings?

Re: PDF quality changes when output
No. How do you do that if someone outputs to a device with under 300 dpi
resolution. You cannot determine a users printer setting.
