PDF to TIFF conversion error
I have a one page PDF 1.4 file with Japanese fonts and I received the following error when I tried to save it as a TIFF: "Insufficient permissions for image extraction"
What does this mean? I have never seen this before.

It may mean exactly what it says: If you have images in the page, select them in the Finder and choose File > Get Info > Ownership & Permissions. Make sure you can Read & Write.

Thanks. I found the problem. The document has a Permissions Password; which prevented me from doing the document conversion.
