PDFMaker not working in Word 97

What is the filename of the document you are trying to convert?

Unfortuantely it doesn't matter. At first that was what I thought. BUt even a simple file named test.doc has the exact same results.

What is the complete path of the file?

the complete path would be h:\test.doc or can be deeper like t:\wp\word\test.doc But it's not a path that would violate "acient" dos rules even.

Are these files locally saved or are they on network drives as your examples above would suggest?

I am just curious still if anyone has this working in a Word 97 environment under a Windows 2000 platform.

I am using Word 2003, Acrobat 6.0, and Windows 2000 and have the same
problem. The problem is not affected by the filename or path or
whether it is local or on a network. I wonder if there is some related
file that Acrobat is trying to convert along with the main file which
is causing this.
