Default PDFs and Adding Page Numbering

Can Acrobat auto-generate page numbers to appear at the bottom of a
page (or wherever on a page).

    Here is the issue:

    1) I have a large document (650 pages) in Word that I can make PDF
form and they will have page numbers.

    2) There are a number of scanned pages (at least 100) that i also need
to include at the end of the document, but they do not have page
    numbers.

So, is there a way to specify that from page 651 to the end that
acrobat adds a page number in a text box (or something like that) at
the bottom of the scanned pages. I am sure there must be a formula you
could enter into a text box.

    Versions I have available are Acrobat 6 Standard, 7 Standard & 8
Professional for Windows and 7 Professional for mac. The word version
will like be generated as a print to pdf or create pdf from Win Word
    to Win Acrobat 8 Pro.

    Thank you in advance,
    jg

i would suggest adding a text box then choosing the page number
option in there as the text
in an 8 page document ... i posted Page # of # in each text box and
    called it a page number...
see your pallate choices for this ...
then i had to do some additin page extraction and daddition ...
once i added the page # of # it automatically printed the correct
    page...
but in creation it loooked tres wierd ... with the # of # showing only
    prints well though
    yours
