PDFs from ID not CMYK when told to convert all to CMYK
I'm creating a PDF from InDesign CS2 with the switch Convert all colors
to CMYK enabled in Ink Manager. Yet I still get spot colors in my
output PDF. The only image files that give me this issue are
Illustrator generated eps files (that have spot colors). Illustrator
created AI files work fine--no spots, all CMYK.
This workflow of using an Illustrator generated eps with spot colors in
an InDesign file and then creating a PDF and stating that all spots
should be converted to CMYK has worked for a long time. Suddently many
of my designers are falling prey to this problem. An extra step has to
be included in the prepress routine of opening any eps files and
manually doing a Save As to an AI file.
Any ideas?

Re: PDFs from ID not CMYK when told to convert all to CMYK
Are you using the "Convert to Destination" Setting? If so, what are you
converting to? I can't replicate the findings you have here. Using
InDesign CS2 4.0.2 on a OS X.4.6 Dual G5. Trying to find a setting
discrepancy so I can get the same findings.
