    Default PDF's from InDesign

Not sure if this is an Acrobat question or InDesign, but after setting a rather simple form in ID, I made a PDF from ID to email to the client for approval.

The form opens and prints fine on the Mac (OS X), but won't open on the PC. Occasionally some forms do open on the PC but most often I get an error.

I transfer the file to the PC by Zip disk and although the original title is "FormName.PDF" on the mac, it shows up as "._FormName.PDF" on the PC.

I've tried removing the first 2 characters but it still doesn't open.

    Any leads?
    Thanks,
    Jamie

Sounds like there's a resource/data fork thing going on.

I'm a Windows guy so I'm not really sure. What happens when Windows
    users try to open it?

Jamison, there should be another file present that lacks the leading "._". Those that lack the leading characters are the true files.

I had someone that could not open my PDF on a PC. I just ZIPped the file before I emailed it to him. It worked just fine after that.

    Jamison,

How did you send the file to our client. If it's by e-mail, it could have gotten corrupted, so you can see only 4kb.

The "._" before the name indicates it is indeed a mac resource/cache type file. It IS NOT the actual file.
