PDFs print fit to page problem
I create forms for an insurance company and our point size is required by law to be a certain point size.
When pdf of the form is posted to our website and an agent prints.... it reduces the form (fit to page).
Has anyone else run into this problem???? Any solution????
I am on a Macintosh OSX (version 10.3.9) using Acrobat 6.0.1 Professional

Tell the agent to not use the fit to printable area option?

Re: PDFs print fit to page problem
I've often wish that weren't the default, but Mark is correct. The Reduce to Fit choice is the default, no way I know to change it.

no way I know to change it.
Macs keep the last setting used. Does it change back to the "reduce to Fit" setting on Windows?
(I'm assuming the agent is using Windows. Maybe not)

Re: PDFs print fit to page problem
When creating the document open it in a full version of Acrobat and go to file>document properties and click on the advanced tab.
There set the 'page scaling' to none.
This will change the default for the fit to page option to none in the acrobat print dialog box.
I believe this was a new feature in 7 and thus not available in 6 and I'm not sure if this feature is avilable in 7 Standard.

Re: PDFs print fit to page problem
Thank you, Diem. That is indeed an obscure but useful feature!

Re: PDFs print fit to page problem
Just to make clear that this is a document preference, not an Acrobat wide preference.
It does seem to be the day for obscure features. (see the blank page thread in the windows forum)

Re: PDFs print fit to page problem
Thank you all....
glad to know that Acrobat 7 has a feature so that I can set the default to "NONE". But will this not change when the agent's print dialog box defaults to "FIT TO PAGE".
We will run tests to check this.
