PDFx1a files coming up low-rez
Have this issue lately that when I take a .ps file created from Indesign, distill it using PDFx1a to create a hirez PDF of an ad for magazines, PDF is apparently less than 300 dpi. Two different publishers have called saying my PDFs aren't hirez. Resolution is set to 2400, image downsampling in distiller settings are 300.
any idea what gives? never had this issue before.

Have you checked the resolution yourself with pre-flight?
What was the original image resolution and how was it scaled?
