Performance AIV extenders - IBM DB2

Hello all, I downloaded a trial version of DB2-UDB-PE-V8.1 including the AIV extenders. I am interested in people having experience with the AIV extenders, especially about the performance: -How many images can be indexed in an hour? (and on what kind of PC is it?) -How many indexed images can the database contain (max)? -Can all images (with the maximum number of images) in the DB be searched in one query using Query by Image? -What is the search speed (Query by Image)? {time} / {nr of images in DB} My OS is Windows XP. My PC is a P4 ...

    Default Performance AIV extenders

    Hello all,

    I downloaded a trial version of DB2-UDB-PE-V8.1 including the AIV extenders.
    I am interested in people having experience with the AIV extenders,
    especially about the performance:

    -How many images can be indexed in an hour? (and on what kind of PC is it?)
    -How many indexed images can the database contain (max)?
    -Can all images (with the maximum number of images) in the DB be searched
    in one query using Query by Image?
    -What is the search speed (Query by Image)? {time} / {nr of images in DB}

    My OS is Windows XP. My PC is a P4 2.4GHz, 1 GB DDR RAM.

    Thanks.

    K.

    I have no numbers for you, but I am curious what you want to do with your
    images in the database and how you want to use the image index.
