Yeah, 2 good ones. Affected not only ie but outhouse and outhouse excess
since they use ie for "rendering" HTML.

They only have about a dozen known, and published, root holes in their
HTML engine yet to fix.

Actually that was Win2k that had all those bugs. They could not
acknowledge more of them for fear of 16 bit overflow.

My seldom used WinXP system now has 47 hot fixes applied, including a
service pack or two.

Many SunOS4 users felt let down by the move to a SysV
based system. The fact remains that the BSD kernel has,
until today, the worst multiprocessor support of any
Unixoid kernel. There are many aspects of SysV that are
questionable, but all-in-all the SunOS5 kernel is far
superior to the SunOS4 one.

The truly remarkable feature of Unix is that it has
managed to survive incompetent marketing, incompetent
licensing, incompetent kernel, systems and application
programming, and the commercial onslaught of Microsoft.

Unix - it ain't perfect, but it sure is lovable :-)
