Photoshop and Text

hello,

I want to type some words onto the photo/new layer,
but it don't work when I using the PhotoShop 7.0
Chinese edition. And it also show the warning which
said that: ¤£¯à§¹¦¨½Ð¨D, because a default system font
could not be obtained.

Well, how can i do for it ?? and how to slove this
problem when i want to type some words onto the
photo/new layer ??

Make sure the image you want to apply a text layer to is NOT in 16-bit/channel mode.

the text layer is 8-bit/channel mode, but i also can't type any text on the text layer.

I don't have a clue. You haven't given much information. You haven't even stated what you have tried to do in troubleshooting your problem.
