After reading some of nickhodge.com's tips and techniques for importing photoshop documents to ID - it became clear to me that I need to convert my psd's to photoshop pdfs in order to preserve vector data and keep text vector rather than have it rasterized.

I have two questions

First - I am unsure of the exact settings to use for the photoshop pdf - I know I should include vector data and embed fonts. But I am unsure of whether or not I should check - "Save Transparency" or "Image Interpolation"

Secondly - I want to use the pdp extension rather than the pdf extension so that if I want to edit the original by alt-clicking in ID - it will open in photoshop rather than Acrobat - Is there a way to automate the conversion of all my photoshop documents into photoshop pdfs with the pdp extension. I tried to batch process by first recording my actions and so forth - but they still all ended up with pdf extensions.

Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
