Default Photoshop Plugin for FreeHand MX

For the first time since installing FH MX, I tried to import a Photoshop file
only to find it ain't happening.
I had a plugin for 10 that worked but it don't work in MX. I have been
searching in vain for an updated plugin, can anyone point me in the right
    direction.

You shouldn't need a plug in. I've been able to import native Photoshop
files into Freehand MX files. Do you get an error message or does
Freehand just not let you import them?

I get the message 'Could not import because an error occurred.'
I went back to the Photoshop file and changed it's settings from CMYK to RGB
and that imported OK, but that's no good if I'm sending a FreeHand file to
    repro for printing.

How big was the image? I've found that Freehand MX, unlike earlier
versions, chokes on images over a certain size.

You shouldn't be using PS files for final output anyway. They are
useful for positioning images while working on them but once you have
what you want save it as a flattened TIFF or EPS then import to FH.

    John,

You can also try to "Save as" the PSD file and replace the old one. I have used this many times with success.
