Default PHP & MySQL

Being new to databases, I'm trying to link a text record in MySQL (ex.
000123.jpg) to a folder that has the same file name to the image that I have.
The reason that I want to do this is I don't want to delete my images I have in
the folder just the record that's linked to that image.
I would greatly appeciate any help on this matter.

I'm confused, too. If you want to link to an image from a database that
has image names in it, you'd do something like:

<?php do { ?>
<p><img src="<?php echo $row_Recordset1['filename']; ?>"></p>
<?php } while ($row_Recordset1 = mysql_fetch_assoc($Recordset1)); ?>

If you want a particular image name which is already in the dataset not
to display, you'd either delete that record, or filter so it doesn't
show. You'd delete the record using some MySQL administration tool;
phpMyAdmin (http://www.phpmyadmin.net/) works well for the purpose.

If that's not it, maybe you could clarify?

Joe,
I'm using Dreamweaver MX 6.1 with PHP & MySQL and I have a folder with
hundreds of images in it with the same name as the record thats in my database.
I'm using a image placeholder to display my images. I can step though the
record and see the image file names ok, but I need to link the images in the
folder to the record.

Open the file which has the placeholder in Dreamweaver; open the
'Application' window and click on the 'Bindings' tab so that your
recordset is visible. Click the + sign to open it if you haven't yet.
Click on the filename; drag it to the placeholder. That will put the
filename from the database into the placeholder's source attribute.
