Default picture files integrated into swf?

    Hello,

I started to develop my first flash web site.
I use to import pictures into the stage, so far I only use jpegs.

I am wondering, after I will have finished my fla and export to swf, will
these source picture still be useful when I will upload the site to my ftp? Or
will they be part of the swf?

    Thanks in advance.

They will be part of the swf if you are importing them to the stage.

    Hello Dan, thanks for answering.

If I understand correctly, if I import the files first to the library, then
drag them to the stage, they will be linked externally?

In this case, the swf needs a set of folders in which I can put ALL my
external files, like jpegs, illustrator files, videos, etc?

And all these folders should be uploaded to my ftp when putting the site
    online?

    Thanks.

No I'm pretty sure your wrong, they will be imported into the swf file... Same
way if you make a .pdf document, you will only need the Whatever.swf or
Whatever.pdf . To have your .swf import images from a specific place on the
server you will need to know more AS 1, 2 or 3 then i do.

download this and see how he did it.
