Pictures All LOCKED
I'm new to Photoshop, and can't find a reference to this anywhere in the manual OR Adobe's "Classroom-in-a-Book": I burned a lot of .jpg photo files onto a CD. When I try to then use them with Photoshop, small PADLOCKS appear in the upper left corner of every picture. It won't let me do anything with these PADLOCKED photo files, and I can't find anywhere how to UNLOCK them. (No reference anywhere - that I can find - in the manuals... unless this is a Windows/files management issue.)

copy them back to the drive and un-write protect them to save. or open from the disk and immediately do a save as to the hard drive. images on a cd are usualy write proteced by default.

Re: Pictures All LOCKED
Double-click on the layer that is locked and click OK. This will turn it into an editable layer.
If it is a gif file, then you must first change the IMAGE>MODE to RGB.
