Default Pictures disappear when Exported to PDF by Quark6.1

    Hi -
    Using Quark 6.1, Acrobat Pro 6, Distiller 6, OS 10.3.5, Dual-G5.

When I use "Export layout to PDF", sometimes the pictures are just white boxes. Sometimes the pictures are there but when I "Add Tags to Document" - no images show up on the tag list.

When I use Quarks other way to make PDF which is "Save As EPS" and then use the EPS files in Distiller - some characters like quote marks and apostrophes appear as little boxes. Acrobat will not "Add Tags" to the page because of these.

Please tell me this is not a rebellion!

    TIA any solutions or suggestions,

    Josh

Well - you've used 2 of the most unreliable methods of generating PDFs
    from Quark 6.x

Try the following to create a reliable PDF which should honour tagging
and provide a solid file in the process ..

    Jon -
After reading both excellent tutorials I decided to try " PDF Export from Quark Xpress 6." because my final output is not for press but for screen.

Why am I getting crop marks and registration marks on my PDFs made this way? Please, which setting turns that off?

    Thanks,
