pictures with cross in corner
There are certain pictures or other things such as a chat
room that I go to open on the internet, but I am not able
to becuase a red cross appears in the top left hand
corner. Please help me solve this problem as it is
really becoming a large problem.

Make sure the "Show pictures" is enabled. and install the sun java.
I have seen that the ad-blocking feature of personal firewall software
creates this problem.
