Pismo Parts
Hello all,
I have recently joined the Pink pismo (Powerbook Firewire) display
unfortunates, so it looks like I'll have to replace the backlight(s).
Does anyone have a part no. for the bulbs ?
Ive tried Apple and its illegal for them to give part no's out !!

inverter goes u/s as well. If you can't extract the part number from Apple,
how are you going to get them to part with the tubes?

because I remember other people replacing their backlights with
non-Apple tubes.
As for part numbers, you would presumably find the manufacturer and/or
part numbers (probably not Apple's, but something, anyway) on the tube
somewhere, but that means taking the tube out and therefore, losing the
portablility of your computer until you get new ones in (since it's
apparently pretty complicated to get the screen apart, I wouldn't want
to do it more than once).
If it's the inverter, that might be a bigger problem.
